Sunday Letters: Stupid Economics Plus Last Week's Articles
Welcome to Sunday Letters; a summary of all that went down on the blog this week.
I hope you're enjoying your weekend.
My exams finished for the summer on Wednesday, glad that's over.
I've been writing lots over the last three weeks so no exams leaves me more creative time.
So I took a gander over the articles I've been writing, and a lot of it about has been centered on creativity, which kind of happened on its own really.
I'm very passionate about Creativity you see, I think it's vital, not only to human development but to our very existence.
Without art and creativity there's no soul, everything is sterile. Like if economists took over the world or something… oh shit wait a minute…
Stupid economics! I've a lot to say on this subject.
Especially how those who make this science their religion are willing to sacrifice people in justification of their policies.
For now I'll just say this much…
The Power of Stupid Economics
Economics are game ball, I accept the relevance of economic sciences especially that in relation to the study of human behaviour.
After all, economics is psychology playing out in global and national societies.
It just that our over reliance on the opinion of economists is driving our society deeper into dysfunction.
Stupid economics hold sway over government decisions in relation to the welfare of it's people.
World Banks dictate where money is spent, riding in on the economic white horses as pseudo saviours after banks put countries under.
Stupid economics kills people.
More on this another time me thinks. Anyway, here's what's been happening this week…
The Illusion of Time
My biggest focus for the coming few months is The Illusion of Time.
It's vital now that I finish this book, not only for you who are waiting on it way too long, but for me also – that I walk the walk so to speak.
So between now and the end of the summer most of the content I create will be focused on topics related to that.
As such this week (Thursday) I rewrote the Foreword to The Illusion of Time. I also edited the prior foreword and added it to chapter one.
I've been putting lots of time into research too and I've gather some really great information.

Getting back to creativity…
I'm into it big time, creativity that is.
It seems I have a deep desire to discuss and write about it – it's at my core.
As such I have decided put together a Manifesto that explains why I believe it's vital for not only artists, but everybody to listen to their inner call to exercise creativity.
The Artist's Manifesto
I call it The Artist's Manifesto.
It's a call to arms to all creative people to do what they love and fuck the consequences.
To really get into it, whatever “it” is for you. To disregard your fear and ignore outside commentary that says you should do other things.
Create for the sake of it with no ulterior motive.
Make a commitment to ourselves and just go for it.
You see, too many of us are doing stuff we'd rather not. We're not bringing our real selves into the world and the world suffers because of that.
There's too many wankers telling the rest of us what we should be doing and how we should be doing it.
You know the ones, the bankers, politicians, media… and the economists.
It's time to get with our real selves, put some beauty back into the world – This is our job you see.
We need a revolution!
You with me or what?
The Artist's Manifesto
The Artist's Manifesto is for storymakers, artists and creative people. It is your call to return to the passion of your art, your craft, to create beautiful and unique things purely for the sake of it. It asks you to disregarding the need for recognition and applause, and offers you an honest and practical means to make a living from your work. The Artist's Manifesto is out early May 2017.
