Gimme Full Fat
I like the four-pack, full-fat natural yoghurt from the local supermarket. Unsweetened, unflavoured and made in West Cork, apparently. I take a small glass from the press, drop a couple of spoons of homemade stewed apple or jam in the bottom, and then drop the thick and creamy full-fat natural yoghurt on top. I finish it off with a tablespoon of homemade granola and flaked almonds – deadly.

Icy Morning
It will take a lot for the tight angle of the sun to melt the ice on the south side of rooves today. It’s low in the sky, turning cold mist into a glare. Trees older than me reach into it like dark fractals against its whitish yellow. There is a presence in it, it seems. Something that doesn’t speak and yet answers it all.
