The word “Mechanics” used in the term “Quantum Mechanics” indicates a machine like predictable, buildable, knowable thing. The Quantum Universe in which we live, whether we want to accept it or not, may seem on the surface to be mechanical and linear but it is not. It is probably better described as an infinite multitude of possible linear actions. If we must give this still mystical process a name lets call it “Quantum Ecology” rather than “Quantum Mechanics”.
Time is a strange commodity, one that ultimately doesn’t exist. Time is an abstract idea like a ruler to measure length or money to measure wealth. To believe in time is to be ruled by time and unless we can understand its true nature as merely a social convention we will forever be mastered by it. To truly be in command of our destiny and success, we must get comfortable in the only moment that ever will exist – now.
The Preposterousness Of The Leap Year
Before beginning any inquiry into the nature of time, it must be understood that time is not a thing in so far as that it exists in physical reality. Time is an abstract idea, much like the metric system of measurement, language or mathematics.
